The eight First Class stamps celebrate the iconic Penny Black and more of Britain’s first adhesive stamps, which remain among the world’s most coveted collectibles.
Each stamp features a reverse-side watermark reproduced from the original Victorian issue, adding a unique philatelic touch and historical authenticity to the set.
Inspired by Queen Victoria’s love of photography, the Miniature Sheet’s four stamps feature evocative portraits of the queen whose accession ushered in a period of growth and innovation, giving rise to the creation of the first modern stamp.
