The reverse of the coin features two Concordes, representing the two aircraft that took off simultaneously on the maiden commercial flights from Paris and London.
The coin cover handstamp features an image of Concorde breaking the sound barrier. The location of Heathrow, Hounslow, was the site of the first passenger flight from the UK.
