This limited edition Exhibition Sheet commemorates the introduction of two stamps following the end of the Second World War.
The 2½d and 3d stamps were issued in 1946 to mark the nation’s victory celebrations, with the theme ‘Symbols of Peace and Restoration’.
Various artists were invited to submit ideas for the stamps, with the chosen designs by Edmund Dulac and H L Palmer being approved by King George.
Included within the sheet are designs that were submitted but not taken forward.
Each design is paired with the commemorative Union Flag First Class stamp.
Issued on 7 May 2025 and available for the first time at EuroPhilEx.
