Her Majesty The Queen acceded to the throne on 6 February 1952, following the untimely death of her father, King George VI. To mark the 65th Anniversary of that momentous date, we’re proud to present a very special commemorative Stamp issue. Issue date: 6 February 2017.
The Special Stamps feature iconic sites such as Skara Brae and Avebury and exceptional artefacts, including the Battersea shield and the Star Carr headdress. The stamps are enhanced with illustrations that reveal how our ancient forebears lived and worked. Issued on 17 January 2017.

Crime writer and playwright Agatha Christie has been outsold only by Shakespeare and the Bible. So it’s fitting that we mark not just the centenary of her writing her first crime novel, but also the 40th Anniversary of her death with a stamp issue that’s full of intrigue. To add even more mystery, the six stamps contain hidden secrets in the form of microtext, UV ink and thermochromic ink. Issued on 15 September 2016.
The Great Fire of London:
In the early hours of Sunday 2 September 1666, fire broke out in a bakery on London's Pudding Lane eventually devouring more than 13,000 buildings including St. Paul's Cathedral.The stamp issue to mark its 350th anniversary re-tells its story in a graphic novel style, evoking the high drama of those days while ensuring a high degree of historical accuracy.
