The First World War 1914:
The First World War began in 1914 and changed the world forever. 100 years on from the declaration of hostilities, Royal Mail is commemorating this terrible conflict with the first in an historically important series of five Special issues that will examine the war from outbreak to armistice. Issued on 28 July 2014.

This ten stamp issue celebrates the variety and remarkable success of British cinema, showcasing landmark productions that evoke the distinctiveness and quality of British film and story-telling across key genres. Released on 13th May 2014.
We are delighted to present a Special issue that explores Buckingham Palace's fascinating history from the early 17th century to the present day. This includes six Special Stamps featuring historic paintings as well as a new commission by Royal Mail, and a Miniature Sheet that offers a glimpse of the sheer splendour within these famous walls. Released on 15 April 2014.
This important Special issue marks the 100th anniversary of the births of these admirable individuals, who have been drawn from the realms of sport, design, economics, heroism and the arts.

We are delighted to follow our popular Working Dogs stamp issue of 2008 with a salute to the huge contribution that Working Horses make to British life. Featuring six glorious Special Stamps showing these magnificent creatures at work and the Presentation Pack provides a wealth of insights into the historic and contemporary lives of Britainís Working Horses. Issued on 4th February 2014.
This Special issue celebrates the 40th anniversary of Bagpuss, considered the most popular British childrenís TV character of all time; and the 50th anniversary of The Magic Roundabout, another perennial favourite. While all of these shows were created with young children in mind, they indisputably share the power to entertain adults too. Date of Issue 7th January 2014.
